The Fishermen’s Museum is a Tax Exempt Non-Profit Organization under IRS Code Section 501 (c) 3 and all contributions are tax deductible.

Contributors can have the objects appraised prior to the donation or the Museum can have an appraisal performed. All donations are acknowledged in writing with stated
valuations for tax return purposes. Unfortunately, we are limited in size and space available so not all objects may be practical for our collection.

Donations to our scholarship fund are a wonderful way to insure that students whoare pursuing marine related studies can get assistance with their tuition. Over the past 25 years the Museum has given scholarships towards boat building courses, fishing and fisheries studies, marine biology and ecology, marine engineering (Maine Maritime Academy) and other maritime related career opportunities.
