On Saturday, May 12, 2007, The Fishermen’s Museum will open for our 35th season. During the past winter our display rooms, located on the ground floor of the Lighthouse Keepers House, have been freshly repainted in accurate 18th century colors. Since 1972 the Museum has dedicated its space to exhibit the history of fishing activities and related maritime industries in Bristol and New England. Through the lens of our exhibits, dioramas, photographs and captains logs visitors can capture a wonderful picture of the culture and heritage that helped shape the Bristol community and other fishing villages up and down the coast of Maine.
